Rev Limiter Question Again!

Removed D 701 from my ecu still no revs over 6000 !!!! anything else one could do?

 

tried it on both a 1.6 and a 1.9 ecu

Did you desolder it and remove it completely or just the one end and lifted it?

 

I normally remove the link B34 next to it by snipping it, i'm wondering if you desoldered it did you spill some solder underneath over to the connector in that link? This could cause a short so it still makes a circuit.

ok i will try that aswell but could a ba timed engine still make this cause mine is a bit messed up at the moment?

Did the engine reach the rev limiter before you decided to remove it? If not i would get the engine sorted and make sure it is running fine before trying to rev the thing past its limiter.
