Squeeky Engine Sound And Wheel Vibration ..

Recommended Posts

Hi !

I have some squeeky problems :)

1)It occures when i apply throttle on and lift off , It also happens inbetween gear changes on slower speeds like when driving round the town engine moves a little back-front making a anoying squeek .. its ok. on higher speeds

All engine mountings was renewed recently when i was finised engine overhaul i check them today and they are all nice and tight .

All suspension components are new top strut mountings , wishbones , drop links ..

Can this be exhaust pipe to mainfold joint ?(i have sharp ticking noise when i start car from cold which dissapears when engine warms up to normal temp. , this sounds just like leaky pipe to mainfold joint or broken exhaust mainfold) i notice when i was tightening two joint bolts (spring in the middle) one bolt came up fully tight and other was tighten just to the middle and i can't tight him more than that .. How much this two bolts must be torqued ?

2)Also i have some strange rubbing-vibration noise comming from right wheel when going in left hand corners , the more i turn the steering wheel to full left this sound is increasing ..This happens at all speeds no diference and its ok. when driving straight forward or on right hand corners , just when going to left corners ..

I pull out right hand driveshaft for examinaton and it looks fine to me , fill joints with grease and reassembly back but no improvement still rubbing something ..

Is it possible that wheel bearing make this noise on cornering ?

Thanks !

Damir

Could well be your exhaust, did you replace the mesh ring aswell on the end of the manifold when the exhaust was removed? Deffinetly coming from the engine bay not something like your seat subframe?

Could be your wheel bearing, jack the car up and rock the wheel from top to bottom and see if there is any play, also check the hubnut is tight just incase.

Hi !

Yes complete exhaust system is new (except mainfold) including that mesh ring ;) onley thing i notice is that from right corner i can see this mesh ring outer surface in the middle of pipe to pipe joint and from left corner is nice and tight and i can't see the ring so must be that i mess something up with bolt tightening :) i know that this joint must not be to tight but also not to loosen , maybe its making this squeeky noise because it's too tight :) ...

It's deffinatly coming from the front of the car .

I will try that thanks !
