pugman211 0 Posted April 19, 2007 try this?? its a 306 oil sensor on ebay but it has the 2 pins!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEUGEOT-306-OIL-PRES...1QQcmdZViewItem And if it works, can i buy your 205 oil pressure sender as i need one for my 309 gti! Cheers
VisaGTi16v 1 Posted April 19, 2007 Just to check you are not doing what I did..... Is this sensor half way down the block at the back? If so its probably the oil level sensor. I had the same confusion with my mi16 block as the bx uses this. The actual oil temp sensor is a single terminal one right at the bottom in the back of the sump next to the main sump plug. Not actually looked at a gti6 engine but this is probably the reason That ebay link is to a pressure sensor that will be on the front, the oil temperature one is different
Spiky 37 Posted April 19, 2007 (edited) i not sure i explained myself right i have fitted a 306 GTI-6 sump to my 205 engine they have a newer style oil temp sensor which has two connections i have the oil temp sender but need to wire it up Edited April 19, 2007 by Spiky

GTI6BOY 29 Posted April 19, 2007 yeah its the oil temp switch, and has two terminals but you just run the single cable to 1 side and leave the other side blank

Spiky 37 Posted April 19, 2007 mmmm well i dont that and it dont work i ordered a new sensor anyhow as this one isn' mine.. so will check with new sensor
Mikey G 3 Posted April 19, 2007 Its the same oil temp switch that is fitted to all XU10's by the looks, if so pin 1 will be temp sender and pin 2 will be temp switch. Just connect your original wire to pin 1 as the sensor grounds itself out to earth.
James_m 0 Posted April 19, 2007 Just to clarify something.... the ebay link, is that an oil temp sensor that goes into the sump or something different?
