No Reverse Gea,

I got quicks*it fitted as mentinoned in my other thread. When I was swapping lever on the box for one to fit quickshift the lever shaft went slightly into gearbox. Could this cause some internal change in box to not be able to select reverse gear in.

Or should I just play with rods to see if it heals?

Guys any help ?

yes, you've probably lost fifth aswell. i swapped my box when i did this but i'm sure you can fix it, sure someone can spread some light on it.

that happend to me too, the round round thingy dropped into the box, its a right bitch to sort out, i had to fiddle with it for about an hour lifting it droping it twisting it untill it finaly went to where it needed to be, then when i went to re-fit the lever it fell again, a right hastle!!! but evemtuay got it sorted

SORTED.

 

I got piss*d off, took angle grinder to my other box. cut half of it off. straighten it, drilled three holes and bolted that terrible thing together, i'll see if it works, it should.

Its taken me 9 months so far to even think about trying to sort this b@stard problem on my car. hence its still in t6he drive with 1 mile on a brand new engine. really shoul pull my finger out!

i know i've read your topic. have a look at mine about Diesel GTi there is picture about what i've done I was lucky i got spare engine and box.
