HI,

Can someone post me a pic of how the rad clips in at the top of a 1.9 please?

When the car came back from the MI conversion, a number of things were unclipped missing and basically left flapping about....this is one of them. I think this wobbling rad is the cause of all the leaks ive had in the cooling system, ie. its putting unnecessary flex on the hoses.

Anyway...i think there must be somethig missing from the rad itself at the top, as i have the two springs that are part of the bonnet panel, but nothing to clip to....

Cheers

they dont clip onto anything as such, they simply press down onto the rad, but there should be 2 shaped rubber clocks there for the spring to locate onto.

If the rad cowling has been cut to move rad forward to clear standard inlet usually the metal springs can no longer be used. Most people just cable tie the rad to the cowling and that works well

They can be used still, I chopped them down & bent the end by 90' again so they still fitted like standard on the one I've modded. :)

will these square rubber bits fit onto a nissens rad? Could do with that extra stability in mine as it tends to move a cm or so.

yes, the rad is identical to any other rad, its just the material for the core thats different.
