Best Air Filter For Webber Carbs

right then my current "socks" are looking very tired so was looking at buying some new ones but have noticed theres quite alot of diffent style filters out there atm, ranging from the k&n bolt on jobbys to the itg socks I have now the pipercross 500 series with the back plate and the pipercross airboxes. now im realy interested in the airbox aproach as neighbours hate my car on start up due to the noise of the carbs and I beilive this would help reduce the noise and also help with intake temps but do they restrict airflow?

 

so what does everyone use and what do you recommend.

I use the K&N bolt on jobbys. Ugly as sin, but do the job for now!

Jonmurgie made a post ages ago on flow rate with and without an airbox on his ITBs. I can't remember the results but will have a dig.
