Jrod 7 Posted April 15, 2007 Right I've got my Brembos fitted but they just foul the wheels. I don't really want to grind anything off the calipers as they look so nice. I need 3mm spacers, will these be ok to run without getting any wobble? I'm already running hubcentric spacers so could I put 2mm one side then 1mm the other to lower the chance of wheel wobble or would 3mm ones be fine?
damien 22 1 Cars Posted April 16, 2007 you can get 3mm ones from halfords but to be safe i would get some longer wheel nuts. edit just seen your running hubcentric ones, could you not just get some bigger ones? i wouldnt like the idea of so much space between the hub and the wheel
petert 588 Posted April 16, 2007 I've got the same problem. I need a total of 27mm of spacer to clear. The 80mm studs I'm currently using aren't really long enough. 90mm would be better.
Jrod 7 Posted April 16, 2007 Length isn't an issue as The stud I have are plently long enough. I was just trying to avoid wheel woble so thought 1mm one side of the hubcentric and 2mm the other so that there is still plenty of meat for the wheel to centre on? B1ack_Mi16 67 Posted April 16, 2007 Those Brembos surely aren't easy to find wheels that'll clear them. Only wheel I\ve found to fit without spacers at all is actually.. TWS Venom 16" Had them on my old car, and once testfitted the brembos. I've now bought some Hi Spec calipers and discs and hope they'll clear SL434's without spacers, as I can't MOT the car with spacers here in Norway, not legal I really think you're better of buying some complete hubsentric ones of the needed thickness, instead of "shimming" both behind and in between spacers and wheels with really thin ones. I agree but I don't really want to fork out for them new so until some pop up was hoping to just shim them. To be honest with et -7 I thought they would fit but nooo. Et -10 it is... Sandy 191 Posted April 16, 2007 I'm using the Eibach 5mm/side hubcentric ones on the Trio, no problems!
taylorspug 7 Posted April 17, 2007 Whilst we are on the subject of spacers and the like, does anyone know where i can get some 10mm hubcentric spacers? Ive had a bit of a search, but could at best find non hubcentric ones with longer bolts, which im not keen on. Any ideas? Sorry for the hijack aswell, dont want to start another thread about spacers when there is already one on the go!
VisaGTi16v 1 Posted April 17, 2007 regarding lengths of studs etc, the MSA Blue book for competition dictates you should have at least 12 complete turns of the bolt into your hub so if you have substantially less than that, I would get longer ones

Sorry for the hijack aswell, dont want to start another thread about spacers when there is already one on the go! I've got a feeling you cant buy 10mm hubcentric wheel spacers, as it came up in a topic a while back about Dimma wheels and caliper clearence. Best I could find out was this: : Question from an ebay advert. Ebay shop AC Motorsport services hello do you do a 10mm or 12mm hubcentric wheel spacer for a fwd ford escort if you do how much for a pair thanks dave 06-Feb-07 A: Good morning, Dave. Unfortunatly you have to have a spacer that is thicker than the original cars locating spigot which is normaly 10mm the smallest we can supply in hubcentric is 15mm, however if you shorten the spigot on the car to approximatly 5mm either by grinding the excess away or getting someone to put it in a lathe and machine it off, we could machine 5mm off the face of one of our spacers at a cost of about £8 for 2 spacers, that will do the job. Many thanks Andy Maybe worth a little more investigation
taylorspug 7 Posted April 17, 2007 Nice, cheers Sam, il look into it further. Im bloody hanging out for a lathe now, i could (and have in the past) knocked up various size wheel spacers when ive had the facilities.

taylorspug 7 Posted April 19, 2007 Hubcentric spacers Ive now found this place that does a range of hubcentric spacers, in sizes as low as 10mm. They arent the cheapest things ever, but at least you get the bolts to go with them.
sonofsam 5 Posted April 19, 2007 Good find Dan It's a shame I have no free time at work at the moment, as we have three lathes and silly amounts of 20mm block plate alu overs hanging around
Emmy Seize 8 Posted April 20, 2007 (edited) www.h-r.com do 5mm hubcentric ones. Nice quality and they come with the necessary paperwork. Edit: The catalogue says they are hubcentric, the .pdf on the website says they aren´t. Edited April 20, 2007 by Emmy Seize
welshpug 1,657 Posted April 20, 2007 are there any H+R distributors in the UK? also they dont do a spacer less than 5mm for a peugeot, must be down to the depth of the hub flange as the one on my sister's old Seat was much shallower.
