Timing Belt / Cambelt Kits Part Numbers

Recommended Posts

after being advised by many peeps to go O.E on a Cambelt kit I decided to investigate the prices from Peugeot and Citroen.

I got some interesting results :(

the prices I got were for the revised tensioner and 137 toothed belt and idler pulley (thats what they sell as a kit) they came under the part number of 0831 72

Peugeot wanted £70 and a few pence plus vat, Citroen wanted £103 for the same kit :D Crazy

I did check if the timing belt ( 0816 E2 ), tensioner ( 0829 84 ), and idler pulley ( 0830 37 )

would be cheaper as individual parts at Citroen but it came to £130

a water pump from both was £50 plus vat. :P Roll eyes (forgot to do the same at peugeot)

and to end it all, its the same kit as the 135 bhp XSi, XU10J4R :D Big grin

edit! cant edit the title???! should have added GTi6 / XSi / XU10J4 / XU10J4RS
