matt-k 0 Posted April 14, 2007 Hi, could someone please tell me what the best engine sealant is to use that wont perish in oil and high temperature etc? Ive heard that standard silicon sealant wont work. Cheers, Matt.

Sandy 191 Posted April 15, 2007 I use Loctite 5966 (Grey) mostly. It's adhesive enough to stay put, but comes apart again ok. Assuming the joint is resonably tight, it's excellent.
