GazRallye 0 Posted April 14, 2007 I have just posted this http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?s...mp;#entry677085 but looking on GSF, they are listed as the same 1.0, 1.1, 1.4. The blocks are different heights so on TU ax, a 1.1 won't fit onto a 1.4 Can anyone confirm if a downpipe from a 205 junior will fit a my xs??
swordfish210 20 Posted April 14, 2007 if you're really desperate for a downpipe i have a nearly new one with manifold from a 205 rallye (UK spec) sat at college doing nothing that you could buy from me? drop me a PM if you're interested
Casanova 0 Posted April 14, 2007 I've done this before and had no problems (robbed lots of bits off my old Junior for the XS). Had the two downpipes off and sat next to each other and they didn't look much different - the flatter bottom of the XS one was the main difference. I think they're freely interchangeable. §
GazRallye 0 Posted April 14, 2007 Cheers swordfish, might take you up on that offer I noticed the flatter bit on the xs one, thought it had either been crushed on a speed bump or that someone had bodged one from a smaller engine model and had to squash it to get it to fit under the sump! But if they're like that new, then fair enough! Did it line up with the rest of the exhaust ok then? They are marked as different part numbers, so there must be some difference... Casanova 0 Posted April 14, 2007 No probs lining up. Of course, the one off the Junior might not have been original fitment for all I know... §
Jrod 7 Posted April 14, 2007 Out of all the phase 2's I've had none had that flat bit, only the phase 1.5 did.
GazRallye 0 Posted April 14, 2007 There was an F reg XE in the scrappers, would that be a 1.4? It had the flat style bit Don't know what phase mine is, its a H plate built in '89 registered Jan '
