I would reccomend getting the wishbones themselves from buypartsby and then invest in some OE bushes from peugeot. The best of both worlds in my opinion.

I've put buypartsby wishbones (309 ones) on a couple of 205s now, and I expected the bushes to not last long but they have been fine, both cars have done track days too and there have been no issues for several thousand miles.

Jackherer if you put 309 wishbones on a 205 do you also need to buy 309 driveshafts as well?

That's a good price, hope they will ship these wishbones to Holland. Cheapest I could find here was more than double. And some aftermarket suspension company's sell only 205 wishbones, even for the 309 listed in the brochure.

I always have but some people have used the 205 shafts apparently.

I bought some 309 wishbones from buypartsbuy.com and seem fine, they are Quinton Hazzel branded.

Interesting i did a little test to compare the bushes fitted with Polyrace (from rally design) and Superflex.

I mounted the wishbone onto a bolt held in a vice and then put the same wight on the end of the arm and the deflection was less with the std bushes and i was quite surprised how much the uprated bushes moved!

I think i'll stick with these std type bushes for now.

Anybody had the 205 wishbones and fitted them yet? Ive had 2 now which are too narrow to fit the subframe on the right hand side :D

Doesn't sound good, is it possible the cars hit a curb or something and bent the original wishbone AND subframe mounting lugs so only the bent wishbone fits?

Thats what im thinking now. Subframe is a sturdy old lump though, so im not sure it would bend with the wishbone? Im going to try 1 more easily refundable wishbone from GSF, and if that does'nt fit, new subframe time!

never had a problem with My wishbones from GSF!

can you take a pic to demonstrate the problem?

Might be worth measuring the width between the mounting points on each side of the car to see if they are different. Or post the distance on here and I'll compare to one of mine.

I've got subframes if you do end up needing one.

The problem wishbones were from buypartsby. Bought a GSF wishbone today and it fits!

Bit of a relief.

Cheers for the replies ;)

Nice one. Bit worrying about the buypartsby ones though, all the 309 ones I've had from them have been fine except for the one time they sent a golf one instead ;)

Don't know about buypartsby, but have to report a superb result on ebay. Picked up a new passenger side Motaquip wishbobe on fleabay for £15, sadly the seller didn't have the matching drivers side one for sale, but managed to pick that up from my local motorfactors for £35 (+vat).

There is some gimp on 'tinternet motaparts.com who reckons £70 a side is a good price!

But 'bones for £60, and made by Pug (who own motaquip) can't be bad to that! Anyone ever used them? Just looking reassured!

i had this problem a while ago, and serched for some good quilty items, i managed to track down a motor factors, that still stocked febi bilstein items, which are top quilty items, £100 the pair, trade,

but im not too happy with the bushes, so i am going to fit some nylon items !! now that will be harsh!!

i will track down the place and the number

There's a huge following for the peugeot original bushes, considering they only cost around £15 quidish, they may provide you with more V.F.M. than any polybushes.

I got a febi bilstein wishbone from GSF a couple of weeks back. You never know what you might end up with from a lot of these places!
