djinuk 2 Posted April 11, 2007 i took my xs front suspension off yesterday to find the top mount (with the 3 studs in) was perished, is this a common problem, i also count not undo the top bolt to take the spring and due to it being siezed Any advice appreciated. cheers dj Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Faz85 0 Posted April 11, 2007 My top mount is pretty bad, quite a bit of surface rust, but I dont think its a major issue. To remove the spring, your best bet is to take the strut off the car complete, and take it to a local garage who can give it a blast with the impact wrench to get it off.
