fangio 1 Posted April 10, 2007 (edited) Hi mate, you should lock camshaft(s), crankshaft/flywheel before taking it apart. It tells you how in the Haynes manual, otherwise as you say the timing will be out. When you replace the camshaft you'll see a 'prong' in one of the camshaft sprocket holes and a 6mm thread in the head. Insert a 6mm bolt locking the cam in the correct position for TDC on NO1 I believe as you should have on removal together with locking the crank. If you have already removed the cam you can still set the crank to the correct position and the camshaft has a 'key' on the sprocket end. Good luck.
