Ride Height For An Xs

Recommended Posts

Casanova

Right, I have a 1989 XS which I've fitted 1.6 GTi wheels to. The rear suspension has been rubbing a little on the valance and the more I look at it the more I think a previous owner must have lowered it at the back. The suspension seems to be working fine and recently passed an MOT.

So, firstly - what should the ride height be? Has anyone got an XS with these wheels that I can compare with? You can barely see the top of the tyre when the car is parked, empty of passengers and luggage on level ground.

Secondly - I assume to raise it I just follow the guide to lowering, but move the radius arm one spline the other way?

Thanks :)

Simon

I've got the same wheels on my xs and i don't get any problems at all, even when its full of stuff, most definately its been lowered, either that or its fubared!

Fubared was my initial assumption! It is French after all. But the suspension seems OK, so am thinking must be lowered...

If yours can manage even with lots of stuff in, I guess that corroborates my suspicion, thank you!
