Anyone Do Rear Axle Referbs

Hey I posted a topic a little while ago about my rear axle being siezed and I just wondered if anyone did or knew anybody that did referbs on rear axles?

I have a 1.9 rear axle and was going to have a go myself, but I think its alittle above me

anyone able to help?

was gonna do this to mine too, as it got a bit squeaky and was on its last legs but you need some special tools

to get the bearings out. Gave up in the end and got justgtis to refurb mine cost about £350

Pm Anthony, from experience he is better to deal with that just gtis, and cheeper for his beam refurbs too. Hes the forums rear beam guru as far as im aware too.

Probably best to ask him myself, but I don't suppose you know if it's swapout or a refurb of the one you currently have fitted? Does he do a mobile service?

You won't be able to PM Anthony because his in-box is full or he's disabled it. He really is your best man I hear, but you'll have to come up with a clever way of reaching him.

Im pretty sure Taylorspug (Dan) on here also does beam refurbs, and isn't a million miles from you mate

AFAIK its usually a swap out service if you have a servicable donor or you can buy out right for a bit extra if your's is to far gone. I offer the same but I'm a bit to far away for this one.

Another recommendation for Antony Had 2 beams of him already and best thing is he can do one in a few hours but he did say keep it quiet

Im only over Brighton way, so not too far from you. Ive got a couple of 1.9 beams in at the moment ready to be refurbished, so could do you one on exchange basis with your old beam. Drop me a PM if you are interested.
