Miles 331 1 Cars Posted April 6, 2007 There's 2 types, You can buy the old type from GSF/ECP or the revised type from Pug but you've got to tell them it's a 1999 car, Not a bad price if you get a discount
welshpug 1,657 Posted April 6, 2007 hmmm, I get discount from my parts man, how much are we talking though ?
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted April 6, 2007 Mine was around the £70.00 mark for the kit
16v205 9 Posted April 6, 2007 My good friends a pug parts guy, and they have a weird pricing structure on discounts for parts. Ordered a timing belt for my dads 406 the other day it worked out cheaper to buy all the items seperatly rather than as a kit. Rich
welshpug 1,657 Posted April 6, 2007 cool, will hav a chat with the parts guy tuesday then, I guess the kit is just the belt, idler and a tensioner? I'll get a water pump from GSF or ECP...
pugrallye 0 Posted April 8, 2007 make sure you get a very decent water pump, as they are the weak point... fail regularly and take the cambelt with them
