Warning Light.

Recommended Posts

Guest kuipers23

What does the warning light mean that looks like ths -K with a black box behind it?

This is on a 1992 phase 2 205 GTI.

The light is at the top right hand corner of the rev counter.

It came on yesterday for a while and again today.

What does it do and what do I need to do to fix it?

Thanks...

Its a phase 2. It doesn't have a cat. The cat warning light looks different.

its your engine management warning light, if its connected you must have a v. late model gti, as they are not normally connected up, unless someone has done so previously, either way its indicating an anomoly in the engine ecu, need a fault code reader

yeah either remove the bulb (lol) or get a fault code reader, locate your 2 pin diag socket and read off what is wrong with it, or get a garage to do it for you, normally costs about 25 quid

Have you checked your fuses?

Fuse #2 on your car sounds a very likely suspect except for the battery light.

Graham.
