skinner2k3 3 Posted April 2, 2007 Hi I have just removed the front hubs/disc/calipers from the 306 S16 for use on my 205. Whilst they are off the car and I have time to play with I would like to refurb them. To what extent would you guys go? They worked when they were on the car so I guess they are not seized. Cheers Ben
boldy205 75 Posted April 2, 2007 pads ank disks ok? if not ECP do an ATE setup i think, pretty good. appart fron the rubbers/boots theres not a lot else i dont think, and if they werent leaking then, if it aint broke, dont fix it, as its not a hard job to sort if they do start leaking later. skinner2k3 3 Posted April 3, 2007 Judging buy the size of the lip around the disc (tiny) I would assume that the discs have plenty of life in them. The pads are good too, although I will probably get some uprated ones. Will use the search function to figure out which are best. They worked before they were removed, so like you say if aint broke dont fix it I suppose. The reason I asked was that we have a media blast chamber and a chemical wash at work and it seemed rude not to use it. We also send just about every part we produce out to powder coat, so thats available too. I wonder if I could just do the top bit which holds the pads in?
