Done loads of searches and found all the info i need but before I get under the car does anyone have a pic of the intermediate bearing retaining bolts so I know roughly what I'm looking for??? cheers Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ryan 99 Posted March 30, 2007 Part number 3 & 4. The heads are offset, so that when pointing towards each other (as in the pic) they overlap the edge of the bearing and hold it in place. If you loosen the nuts and turn the bolts 180-deg then then heads point away from each other and there is enough room for the bearing to come out between them. TBH I don't bother with that and just take them out completely. It's easier than trying to align 2 bolts than can be difficult to see from certain positions. funkymofo 0 Posted March 30, 2007 You will see them, I just did this and I'm a complete novice. Basically they are the only 2 11mm bolts under there, undo them until the nut is about 1 inch from the end of the bolt. Then push them in and they should become loose. Then turn them around between 90 and 180 degrees and this should free it up. Thats the theory, in the end I had to take the complete bottom engine mount off the block because the bearing was seized solid. Some people seem to have no trouble however, good luck to you.
