Hello,i have a different problem. As simple as it seems my tail pipe keeps banging on my rear bumper which is abit annoying at teaffic lights. Does anyone know if you can buy stiffer exhaust hangers from anywhere?

you can buy poly hangers

exhaust fitters will only keep rubber ones - but they'll probably let you have a couple for free if you ask

if the exhaust is knocking against the valance, it's maybe more likely that you need to loosen the back box clamp, realign the tailpipe and tighten the clamp again

Just to add, I found that new rubbers were plenty stiff enough to stop most exhaust movement. So new ones will probably help cure your problem, and the old ones are probably just worn to jelly. I haven't used poly bushes on the exhaust but I guess it may introduce more vibrations in to the cabin.

I had this problem and replaced with new rubber hangers which were much stiffer than the old ones.

I recently put poly bushes on my Magnex exhaust (2 for the back box and one half way down the pipe) and it has definitely stopped the tailpipe from swaying about like it used to. And no, there are no more vibrations through the car as far as I can tell. I am very pleased with them but having said that I didn't pay over £20 for them like I may have done - I got them for free!
