KRISKARRERA 2 1 Cars Posted March 28, 2007 I just renewed my "hinge shafts" on my drivers door. I'd ordered just the one from the main stealer but somehow he ordered a whole packet of them which was handy as I finally managed to undo the lower bolt that had been stuck solid for weeks. Look at the state of this: Very worn and slightly bent! I'm getting better at fiddling with cars these days. Did my front suspension, and rear, and now my hinges. KRISKARRERA 2 1 Cars Posted March 28, 2007 did it remove the playBelieve it or not I've not fully tested for that, I'd rather not try to lift the door in case I bend the new pins. Not likely I know but all the same. However, the door no longer catches on the latch so yes it must have taken away most of the play.
Anton green 12 1 Cars Posted March 28, 2007 Glad it is sorted. I believe the are two different types of hinge pin on the 205 -Mine arent like yours unfortunately so I will be going into uncharted territory when I replace mine. -I have been told that the pins aren't what wear on my style of door!?? So I'm expecting a fun afternoon seeing what is going on there
