Alan_M 66 1 Cars Posted March 27, 2007 For the second time now, the spindle on my standard TB on my Mi is getting loose..... Apart from buying another, does anybody now of a fix for this issue otherwise I can see a collection of shagged ones building in my garage Typical this happens when I need it at its best for next week

jackherer 543 Posted March 27, 2007 I've already got the collection of shagged ones you're talking about They really are all broken now I think... Veero is sending my mate another one now, we'll see how long that lasts. We had a VW/Audi one at one point, but the throttle switch bracket was a bit dodgy so we put a Pug one back on. The GTI6 inlet and throttle apparently goes on fairly easily, just some dowel misalignment or something, but it would also need a throttle switch adaptor to be fabricated. jim21070 2 Posted March 27, 2007 (edited) Many moons ago I offered to try bushing one. Nothing came of it. One day the stock is going to run out so if some can be saved, it'll be good. Do either of you fancy sending me one to see what I might be able to do? No promises as I've never seen an Mi16 TB but I'm willing to have a go... Alan_M 66 1 Cars Posted March 27, 2007 One of the lads at work is pretty good at this sort of rebushing malarky, and if that fails I do have a GTi6 lump in the garage. Thanks
