maxi 36 1 Cars Posted April 9, 2007 arse! no-one ever taken an ECU apart? wondering if I can do it myself... DOH! Are you being serious??? The ECU has to be plugged into a computer to be unlocked, SO NO, you cant do it yourself with a hammer and chisel or just by "removing a certain resistor"...... Some things should just be left to the professionals. Maxi

PUGugly 0 Posted April 17, 2007 Know a guy, If you bring it to him along with 100 pound note he'll do it in less than half an hour. Can travel at costs but prepared to produce documents to say cars yours!! Any car imbolisers, unlocking etc, he's the man to see! reckons he can start just about anything, to prove a point he showed a unbeliving Mercedes Sales man how easy it was to start a SL55 AMG on the forecourt without doing any damage. The picture on his face was priceless!!
