What Type Of Sealant Is This?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me what type of sealant is used in the picture below?

It was partially helping to hold my wheel arch trim on and it seems very effective and so I'd like to get some more for when I put the trim back on.

Could possibly be a panel adhesive such as Tiger seal.

Bitumen?

Tiger seal / sikaflex will be fine for refiiting though.

Is it still slightly flexible, but not sticky?

If so, then there's a good chance it's one of the sealers mentioned above. Basically any PU adhesive sealent will do a similar job :)

Did a search on google for Tiger Seal, looks good, wish I'd known about that stuff when I took my sideskirt off.

Agreed. As they say in the trade: Polyurethane Seam Sealant is what they use for sticking sh*t to blankets when it won't take by itself ;)

Does it have to be an online retailer? If so, Paints4U do it in black, white or grey. (A bit overpriced though)

If not, try the yellow pages for a paint/bodyshop supplier in your area. Maybe even a motor factors.
