How To Tell Diff Between 309 And 205 Rear Beam?

as i just bought one on ebay (not payed yet) and i want to be able to tell that it definetly is a 309 beam when i pick it up

 

as i dont want to buy another 205 beam..lol

Maybe a search will tell you the differing lengths of each and then you

can measure when you go to pick it up?

Also IIRC 309 beam tubes are black and 205 ones are yellow? or is it 309 beam has red TB's

309 gti=20mm torsion bars

 

.......assuming they're standard bars.

 

You'll need a vernier caliper to measure the difference accurately.

just take a 19mm spanner with you, if it doesnt fit on the torsion bars, tis a 309.
