i was wondering if ther was a difference between the p1 and p1.5 loom? i have to re install my 1.6 d6b engine into my mi so that it will pass the mot.i had to butcher my 1.6 loom to install the mi. Now i need to know if it is possibe to use a the p1 or is it differnt to the p1.5. is this all to do with the coil mounting possistion. some one has got a loom for and is waitng to send it to me.

Ph 1 loom is different- tac.relay is mounted on front chassis rail, and all the dash wiring from the 2 brown multiplugs enters on the opposite side and IIRC is integral to the loom and not on plugs at all

Same loom on 1.6 + 1.9 :)

But are you sure you need to change the engine for mot? I told my friendly tester I will be bringing him a MI powered cti when (if) it gets finished (started) He grinned and said- that will require a road test before testing

i live in switzerland, and over here they frown apon engine swaps. so i basically have to put my 1.6 back in and pass the mot. then i can swap them back with the engine code and number. its a long story of my struggle against little men in blue coats (they have that power).

so if anyone wants to help me out with a 1.6 , 1.9 p1.5 or p2 loom would be much appreciated
