Richie-Van-GTi 74 2 Cars Posted March 18, 2007 Im needing to swap the shafts in my tow car (rover 620sdi) but unsure what box oil to use. If anyone happens to have a rover derv manual can they check please? I asked over on honest jophn and the only response I got was its 2.2 litress of 10w40 oil. I know some boxes are known to use engine oil but Im not 100% on their reply.
saveloy 8 Posted March 18, 2007 If it is a Peugeot diesel engine(some are), then it is an XU. You need approximately 1.7 litres of 75/80 gear oil.
welshpug 1,666 Posted March 18, 2007 I'm sure the 620 Diesels either used a rover unit or a BMW unit if that helps at all?!
welshpug 1,666 Posted March 18, 2007 (edited) a google has dragged up that its the PG1 gearbox, same as the petrol engines, not found what oil yet but I have an idea! and a PM to this member will sort you out - http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showuser=4475 Edited March 18, 2007 by welshpug
