m@robson 0 Posted March 17, 2007 I am in the process of refurbing my 205 Gti alloys that I use for trackdays, I have done one so far and below I have done a before and after. I have modified the center caps a bit to get rid of the pug logo, to do this I put the caps on a lathe and took them down flat, I then used a facility at work ;D and pad printed with ink the logo. I think it looks quite smart and somewhat unique. Thanks to Paul Higgs at 205 Parts for shot blasting them and the advice he has given me. m@robson 0 Posted March 17, 2007 (edited) yeah there going on my xsara for track use. now thundercats logo, why not? i have used it as my forum avatar on other forums since....... forever and has kind of become my calling card. A pug badge on a citroen looks just plain daft. i have: Shotblasted Washed with sugar soap 4 layers of high build primer sanded between layers using varying grades of wet and dry 800 - 1600 i think 2 layers 1k etch primer 4 coats Wurth Silver spaypaint 4 coats wurth clear lacquer polished with silver t cut will let you know how the others go one of them has real bad curbing which i have been building up with body putty and taking my time so it gets nice and smooth Edited March 17, 2007 by m@robson
Higgy 0 Posted March 18, 2007 When you go for tyre fitting don't watch them do it. You will cry !! My wheels survived tyre fitting quite well, only needed minor touching up here & there. Nice work.

A pug badge on a citroen looks just plain daft. I think they look good mate, unuasual. I've just had a set of 4 wheels sandblasted and powder coated. £30 the lot
chris1986 1 Posted March 18, 2007 £30 for the lot doing, thats cheap isn't it. i need mine doing really they look all scabby and spoil the car
m@robson 0 Posted March 19, 2007 £30 all in? or £30 per wheel? if its £30 for all 4 where is this place, most places charge extortionate prices for a full re-furb with powder coating!
yeti-dj 7 Posted March 19, 2007 surely £30 per wheel or i have just been robbed. Was £100 cash for 4 speedlines shot blasted and powder coated as close to the original colour as possible, cant wait as new shiny wheels make such a diffence to the car... yeti
Edp 67 3 Cars Posted March 19, 2007 You heard right, 30 the lot. I got real lucky as the two bosses at the company I used got really confused as i've had loads of stuff powder coated. They said 30 a wheel originally but I was just fortunate My first bit of luck in ages I can tell you.
