rallyman 0 Posted March 17, 2007 Ok, had a bit of a search, but I wanted to clarify what I am doing! I have new bearing in the drum (thanks for the advice with a press!! - I think I would have hurt myself trying to remove it! ) the bearing pictured below before it went in (another part number for the list: IR2220 ) It fitted all ok but is about 37mm in lenght, it came with a new circlip and inner seal. and a picture of the stub axle im putting it on the shaft is bout 34mm long before the thread! The 64p question is WILL I need to remove the small ring at the base of the shaft? (I think in one thread someone mentioned it??? ) any hints on removing it!?!?!?! Or is there something wrong? like the bearing is wrong (national motor factor wholesaler supplied part ) Or is it designed to have 3mm of bearing overhanging the threaded part of the hub? Many Thanks in advance for your comments, tips etc... Cheers Michael
