Guest Frenchy Posted March 16, 2007 Just about to order some Good Year Eagle F1's for my 1.9. On my last 205 I had 195/50 profile F1's fitted. My current car is running with 195/45 tyres on. Can you give your opinions on which size is better please? Bearing in mind my car is standard, not lowered or anything. 45's are slightly dearer but price is not an issue. Just want the best tyre for my car! Cheers guys!
j_turnell 137 3 Cars Posted March 16, 2007 (edited) If your car is otherwise standard, not lowered, i'd deff get 50's, better ride over british roads and cheaper also. If you look at pics of mine i run 50's, previously had 45's and much prefer the ride. Edited March 16, 2007 by j_turnell
number2301 1 1 Cars Posted March 16, 2007 I've ran 205s with both but not really been able to compare. But given that 45s tend to cost twice the price of 50s I'd always go for 50s which are much closer to the standard 185/55s.
Guest Frenchy Posted March 16, 2007 As I say, its running on 195/45's at present and it is a rock hard ride! I remember being quite happy with the 50's on my last one so I will probably settle on them! I didn't realise the standard size was 185/55. If I'd have known that I wouldn't have needed to post! Cheers guys.
