2052006 10 Posted March 13, 2007 When sanding down my bonnet, reading for spraying, how much of the old paint should I be removing - down to the white layer underneath? - assume this is the old primer. Do I have to get rid of every last trace of old paint or does it not matter that much? Never done this before so it's all a bit trial and error (hopefully not too much of that )... Cheers Pete
fencer 0 Posted March 13, 2007 till the primer should be enough, that will avoid you having to give a lot of coats to the bonnet. This applies only if the primer is not damaged in some sort of way
