Jrod 7 Posted March 12, 2007 Coming on nicely now. T cut the doors, wings and bonnet so far. Just the rear quaters, boot and roof to do. Where it had been sat for months it has really made a difference, you can see it in the picture! Got to decide what to do with the wheels now, paint the centre caps to match or paint them all white? also have to finish my grille
DaveW 6 Posted March 12, 2007 Paint them black to match.
Baz 421 Posted March 12, 2007 Yup, agree they look good black!
Enfield 0 Posted March 12, 2007 Looks sexy mate! What's that silver thing in the grille?
Jrod 7 Posted March 12, 2007 Air intake although it will be gone soon as I'm fitting ducts to the spot light holes in the valance. Yer I think black would look smart and would be less of a bitch to clean.
steve@cornwall 100 Posted March 12, 2007 Has "serious machine" look. Probably the only time I'll ever say this,but...black wheels!(I'm also seeing T16ish holes in the bumper?)
Jrod 7 Posted March 12, 2007 I just cut the standard spotlight holes out with a dremel. (took me bloody ages as I wanted it perfect!) Got some big intakes to go behind them and then ducting to either brakes or engine bay, see if I overheat the brakes first. (I doubt it though. )
Anthony 1,003 Posted March 12, 2007 Got to say those wheels suit your car! I wasn't quite sure of them on standardish looking GTi's which is partly why I sold them, but they look good with those black flaired arches I reckon
djinuk 2 Posted March 12, 2007 are they the standard rallye arches ? if so where did you get them from ?
GazRallye 0 Posted March 12, 2007 looking good, those wheels do really suit it with those arches, looks like a proper dirty rally slag! djinuk - they're not standard rallye arches, i've seen them on ebay for about £100, think they're GRP
Jrod 7 Posted March 12, 2007 I've got to agree with you Anthony, I don't think they'd suit a standard 205 at all. (and will rub by the looks of the tyres. ) As Gaz said, they are not standard, they sell them on ebay.
Sam 4 Posted March 13, 2007 Looking good mate, nice side repeaters! Those ones I had were junk and going green! You got the V5 through ok?
Jrod 7 Posted March 13, 2007 (edited) Took me ages to get that green sticky gunk off. Yup got the V5. Just need some brakes! Edited March 13, 2007 by Jrod

Dave87 0 Posted March 13, 2007 looks smart mate i brought a set of those arches for mine a while back havn't got round to fitting them yet though. Are your wheels 15s how have you gone about filling the archs?
Jrod 7 Posted March 13, 2007 Yes the wheels are 15's 7J et13
Dave87 0 Posted March 14, 2007 fair enough mate cheers
djinuk 2 Posted March 15, 2007 a few quick questions on these arches. How hard were they to fit ?, If i put them on my xs with the 1.9 speedlines would they sit under the arches ? thank you
Jrod 7 Posted March 15, 2007 With speedlines they look rubbish, the wheels are way to narrow, Need7J at least if not 8 Fitting the actual archers is easy, just a few rivets but cutting the arches on the other hand.
djinuk 2 Posted March 15, 2007 ah , what about fitting them with speedlines and say a 10mm spacer to bring them out some
Jrod 7 Posted March 15, 2007 (edited) Still think they would look to small. I'm running 7J with et13 and they still need to come out a good 10-15mm to really fill the arches. With the style of them being so rally slag I don't think they eould ever suit speedlines. Edited March 15, 2007 by Jrod
djinuk 2 Posted March 15, 2007 (edited) Ah , thats a problem . What about if i was to get the smaller rally arches like what speedy sells ? Would they come over the top of speedlines? Edited March 15, 2007 by djinuk
