Spraying Mirrors

Recommended Posts

djinuk

The car is a graphite grey 205 xs, i am looking at spraying the mirrors in the same colour as the car, the only part i will spray is the outer casing of the actualy mirror up to the rubber peice that bends, i will not do the base plate. Anybody else done this or would anybody advise against this? .

Will get some pictures up after to see what you all think.

I did it on my old red 1.6 and it looked pretty good, just mask off the area and spray it up.

Here's a crappy old pic I have, it was way before digi cameras :)

Ha, no way. I did this over 2 years ago and didn't think people would be into spraying their mirrors. Mine are exactly the same as DreamWeaver. Painting the whole lot would look so gash imo.

I just took the mirror off, masked up, flatted back and painted.....

Did take a good few hours all in, but that's paint for you.

if you find pics of 205s that have been in modified car mags you'll find some because aftermarket mirrors dont reallt suit the 205 so people just paint them instead to make them look a bit fresher!

When I did mine I kept them on the car, and just masked the area all around them with paper.

I may do my current ones yet as well.
