Choke Light Stays On

Recommended Posts

The choke light on my 1.9 8v XU wont go off. Even once the engine is fully up to temp.

Which sensor or wire or whatever should I check?

Also where is the oil temp sensor for the guage?

Thanks

Ah, ok...I am being an arse :D

I will have another look tonight. There is deffinately a light staying on and I was sure it was a choke light.

I have tried to find a image on the net of the intruments so I could describe which it was but as I couldnt find one with the lights on I cant remember which it is :)

There should normally be a spare yellow spade connector loose under the steering wheel (wire number 75). Sounds like somebody thought it was supposed to be plugged into something - probably the nearby earth block. Just unplug it and it'll be fine.
