Polyurethane Suspension Top Rubber

Recommended Posts

I need new suspension top mount rubbers for the old money hole, and I can get my hands on shore 60-rated polyurethane for cheap. Would you recommend lathing new "donuts" from this material? How stiff is a group A/N-mount?

I made a couple of lower engine mounts for a guy who drives in Slovenian rally championship and they were made out of 70ShA NR rubber. He was very pleased with the result.

Dont have any experience with other components such as suspension bushings, but I think 70+ is a way to go for track day car.

If You decide to make stuff by yourself, use NR for engine mounts and PU for suspension.

Cheers
