miamigtimark 3 1 Cars Posted March 3, 2007 Hi all, My first post and im on the beg already!! Basically the sliding sunroof on the car will not open. Its the full length glass one with the turning handle marked "Britax". The handle turns with no resistance but does nothing. How much work is involved and what do i need to fix this??? Cheers! Ive heard about the vacum system when the engines running but i only thought this prevented leaks and had little to do with the opening/closing operation of the roof. how does the opening mechanisem work (eg tooth/chain belt etc) Cheers. miamigtimark 3 1 Cars Posted March 6, 2007 Have taken the inner handle apart and removed the wind deflector also . have found that the handle should operate 2(?) cables that are threaded and move on a worm type principal to operate the roof back and forth.
