Guest twinbridge01 Posted March 2, 2007 I have recently carried out an Mi16 conversion fitting a 1991 Mi16 engine and wiring loom into my 1991 205 1.9. One of many teething troubles I have is that the engine wont idle below about 1800rpm, as the idle speed is not adjustable does anyone have any suggestions?? There's too much air getting in, causing the high idle. You need to check for air leaks in the inlet system or a throttle problem i.e. not closing properly. paul205mi16 4 Posted March 3, 2007 I had this problem-turned out tobe a small deposit or dirt/oil stopping the throttle butterflys closing, cleaned it off and now its spot on.
