Richie-Van-GTi 74 2 Cars Posted March 1, 2007 Im dropping a 1.9 in my friends 1.6 this weekend to solve all his leaking issues in one swoop, plus a nice power increase. Will his loom be the same? Both engines are early non cat, non lambda engines. Only difference other than displacement is the coils. Just dont fancy fitting engine to find ecu wont work/fit. jackherer 543 Posted March 1, 2007 The loom will work fine, if the coil plug is different use the coil that was originally used with that loom, and fit the inlet manifold to mount it if needed.
Guest Fangoria Posted March 1, 2007 it'll work fine, as said just use the original coil and inlet manifold if different, don't forget to use the the 1.9 ecu and afm
