309 Gti Front Bumper

Guys

As the title says, has anyone fitted one? I was thinking of purchasing one but was wondering if you had to do any alterations to your 205 gti prior to fitting.

Plus does anyone have any photos of the finished product.

Any views would be helpful

Cheers

Cheers for that.

That looks weel nice. I know that it is actually plastic, so what the best way to prepare it for spraying. Also i alway have trouble making spray jobs look shiney afterwards......does it depend on laqure (spelling) i use or do i have to use laqure on cherry red pug?.

Any advise?

Now all I have to do is find a dead 309 gti.

cheers Ed.

There are a few things i would like to get your advice on.......

1. When you cut the bits off the ends to suit the wheel arch, what did you do about creating a lip on the ends to finish it off... if you know what i mean.

2. If you are spraying it how are you going about it, e.g. preparing the plastic.

3. What did you use for joining the parts, e.g. glue. Would arildite do?

and 4 Do you have to remove the tow hoop if you want to fit all 4 lights.

any tips would be very helpful

could you possibly send me the other photos mentioned.

1. Reuse the current lips which are on the ends. You'll have to drill them from the bumper.

2. Just use plastic primer

3. Bodyshops have glue to repair damaged bumpers. Have a try with that stuff.

4. You'll have to remove the tow hoop (or relocate it)
