Gti Clock Loom

Recommended Posts

I bought the digital clock over ebay to fit in my GE. Once it was in i discovered that the conector is missing! I assume that the GE loom is different from the GTI. Now I found the connector that fits the clock but i dont know the wiring configuration.

Any 1 can help?

i looked at the diagram but couldnt understand a thing!! does some one know at least the wiring configuration on the clock side. like, eg:

1= +ve

2= -ve

3= ?

4= ?

the above is only an example , as i dont have a clue of any configuration.

ok so with some fiddling about I got the clock to work.

I will describe what I did in case some one need to do the same.

The image below shows the plug at the back of the clock

The pins are as follows:

1 -> Clock +ve

2 -> Clock -ve

3 -> Light +ve

4 -> Light -ve

I connected Pin 1 to the cigarette Lighter +ve wire and pin 2 to the cigarette lighter -ve. Pins 3 and 4 I connected to the ash tray bulb.

Since pins 3 and 4 are for the clock bulb it does not matter which one is +ve or -ve. As for pins 1 and 2, if you switch them around the clock simply wont turn on. If I'm not mistaking it won't burn (at least mine didn't)
