DaveK 0 Posted February 26, 2007 The regs say: 3.8.1 Dampers - Damping is a control item and must be standard Peugeot or Bilstein. No fast road alternative or any other manufacturer's shock absorbers are allowed. The front inserts and rear shock absorbers must be manufactured by Bilstein or Peugeot. 3.8.2 Front Springs, Platform and Top Mounts - The front springs, platforms and top mounts are free. From this im taking that im not allowed coilovers etc. So basically it would be OE Peugeot with dunno what springs id use. But what are the options for standard bilstein? They all seem to be kits like sprintline/streetline and im unsure if this would count as a "fast road alternative" Anyone have any experience with this? Mr_E 7 Posted February 26, 2007 Use bilstein gravel inserts on the front with 195lb front springs (mine where +1" but thats not for everyone) and use bilstein gravel rear dampers, standard rear beam should be alright though. Cheers Paul
DaveK 0 Posted February 26, 2007 think the "Peugeot 205 Gti Complete front Bilstein Front Strut GpN " from http://www.wmmotorsport.com/acatalog/p205-fnt-susp.html would meet the regs?
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted February 26, 2007 I know allot of people run the Group 'N' or otherwise known as the challenge spec items are Front; Group 'N' Front Bilstein strut's F4-V36-0547-H0 Rear; Group 'N' dampers F4-B46-1038-H0 The front's use the std dia spring which can be anything from Eibach to Gmax Only on the Bilstein unit's can the Insert be changed, You can on the Pug one but it needs a fair amount of work to do this, unlike say the 106 front strut which is a 5 minute job to change the inserts, but reading the rules is all part of the game sometime's, It say the spring's are free so in theory a coilover is fine, But I;d check first then buy what you want, I know some of the scrutener's can do a pre-check on the car so you don;t turn up to the first event with the wrong parts on

Miles 331 1 Cars Posted March 3, 2007 If you can wait a couple of weeks as Bilstein UK are out of stock give me a shout, There are a few other companies that may have them in stock but you'll pay the price
Mr_E 7 Posted March 3, 2007 Heard there was a big delay at bilstein as they had an Army (or something) contract to complete, as I know people are waiting for their motorsport suspension to be rebuilt/repaired.
