Help Needed With Zx16v/s16/mi16 T/b Linkage

Recommended Posts

on the throttle body used on these engines they have a linkage running from the throttle butterfly to the cam for the throttle cable, it has a metal ball and plastic socket with an adjustable rod in between which is about 2" long in total.

so I guess you should know what it is, here's my problem, It keeps coming off!!

price from the dealer is near on £20 ;) but reading through the jenvey T/B fitting guide i came across this pic emeraldmi1633.jpg

anyone know if that balljoint linkage would fit and where would I get hold of it if it would be suitable (or can someone recommend where I could source a suitable replacement, or even a Solex spares stockist as the T/B assembly is a solex unit)

If you know what size those threads are just may one - one male rose joint, one female rose joint, 2 bolts and a few nuts.

I'll take a picture tommorrow, but It needs to be 2 female ends as the existing balls arent removable.

Not if you use rose joints. It'll probably cost you 12-14 quid to make one though.

I've looked at this as I'm building a turbo engine at the moment, Can;t find the ball socket's small enough at the moment as it's easy to make one up if I had the parts

Radio controlled models use pretty small ball joints/sockets and threaded bar also, if that helps.
