Where To Connect A Facet Pump Power Cable?

Recommended Posts

saml666

Hi All,

Have fitted a Facet to feed my Dellortos on Mi16 conversion, can anyone please tell me where to find (and the colouring) the cable in the loom that I should take its feed from?

At the tank it is a green cable with yellow dots, I found this off the ign barrel but doesn't seem to give 12v - I'm not big on figuring out electrics so if anyone can tell me the best place to connect it that'd be great. Ideally would like it wired properly so it stops pumping if the engine stalls, I.e. in a crash - have already wired it temporaily to coil feed just to test :)

Cheers, Sam

where have you mounted the pump? is it in engine bay or near tank? If its near tank just shove a multimeter on the pins for the existing pump wiring and you'll soon find the +12v , if its engine bay the take a wire and bridge it off the tach relay end that feeds the fuel pump.

This topic may help you on the wires under the tach relay :D

Cheers Richie,

I have mounted the pump in place of the fuel injection filter in the engine bay so that article link (I think) has solved the problem - I now know that I am looking for the white wire, something Haynes doesn't tell you atall - thanks very much!

Sam
