if you have a 1600 gti 205 with rear drum brakes is it simple to bolt on the 1900 disks, calipers etc or are the beams different ?

you can do it on 306's as iv done it, had to swap all the hub, used ones off a gti beam as well, so dont see why it cant be done

I have a 1.9 GTI with discs rear. When I rebuilt my rear beam I got the spare one off a 1600 GTI, and therefore needed to retain the discs with hubs etc from my old beam. After lots of punishment I gave up on getting the hub center etc off the old axle, and simply swapped the swing arm taps instead. Quite easy using a blowtorch, some piece of metal to aid the beating and a sledge.

These swingarms with disc hubs on should be dirt cheap if they come sitting on knackered taps..
