hengti 2 Posted February 17, 2007 (edited) Hi I've a quick non 205 question and wonder if anyone on here can advise. My lodger has an '02 206 2.0 HDi and wants to renew the fuel filter. It's a plastic affair at the front of the engine. The 'lid' of the filter has ridges moulded into it which might suggest that it's supposed to twist off but he can't get it to budge and doesn't want to force it incase it's not actually a lid. Does anyone know if this is a cannister or if it's a sealed assembly? Thanks edit: photo Edited February 17, 2007 by hengti
ablister 31 Posted February 18, 2007 yes, you are right, it does come off by un-screwing and some can be a pain. I have a big pair of adjustable pliers that work but be careful and not let it slip as it's easy to break off the plastic connectors. You may find it easier to undo the 2 10mm bolts that hold the filter housing on and get it on a bench to get more room. To tighten it up, there's a green mark on the cap and 2 on the housing. just get the cap to line up between the 2 on the housing . hope that helps a bit
