Help , Brakes Are Very Bad

Recommended Posts

djinuk

ok i brought the xs a while back , and it flew thru mot although the guy let it off with a few bits, however since the 1st time i jumped in it , i said the brakes didnt feel rite.. they are very very hard and u can hear them puffing as tho u was pumping up a dingy. tonight coming down the lanes (lots of acc and braking) the car slowed dwn n made me go dwn the gears and then into 1st and evenutally stopped.. i blamed it on the carb , tried 2 start it etc and it jst seemed 2 keep cutting out after revving a few times (very un responsive). however i poped the bonnet and pumped the brakes and then it ran fine (full power etc).. it did this a few times on the way back and then stopped completly with out a problem.. although the problem has gone now i want to work out what caused it , could it of been my brakes sticking and do u think they jst need bleeding ?. help appreciated , thanks dj

Check the servo hose, sounds like it's split.
