MikeHunt79 0 Posted February 14, 2007 (edited) I recently bought one of these: Now, I already have the volts gauge wired in, but the Ammeter one is turning out to be more tricky... I know it has to be wired in-line (in series, not in parallel), so I doubt anyone would have one if these wired in-line with their starter motor feed, as the cable is rather large, and might cause unwanted voltage drop. So would one of these be more useful if it was wired up to the alternator to see how well the charging is working? Or is it one of the more useless gauges out there. MikeHunt79 0 Posted February 14, 2007 cheers mang... i did have a quick google, but mine wasn't quite so fruitful. The alternator makes sense... this way, I'll be able to see how much the battery is getting charged.
