anyone know what compression test reading to expect on a 1600 pug

just done mine and the results were

1--140

2--180

3--125

4--110

seemed a bit random to me

been trying to sort out a misfire and very loud backfire on overrun[ my neighbour came out to see what the bang was]!!

have changed the plugs , dizzy leads with no luck hence comp test

It's more than random, it's buggered. They should have all been around 180. Put a squirt of oil down each hole and do it again. This will reveal whether it's a valve or ring problem.
