Are These A Standard Piston?

just taken my head of my XM turbo engine and i have never seen a piston standard anyway like these

can anyone shed a bit of light onto it? they standard or has someone replaced them :ph34r:

Look standard to me, same as the ones in a 1998cc XU10 I have downstairs but even if they are aftermarket you couldn't tell without cleaning them up.

didnt know what section to put it in my bad :D

 

mike (my bro) has got his head off to (same engine) and his are normal flat top :ph34r:

 

might try give them a rub to see what they come out like

My XU10 turbo pistons had a completely flat crown, no shaping at all. There must be different versions knocking around or something?

there are 2 versions of the turbo xu10

 

136 ish bhp version with flat top piston usually in citreon

 

and the 146 ish bhp with dished piston usually in 406 and 605

 

and they are standard look carefully and you can see the arrow and word dst

 

pug french for timing i think

i remember from a thread on here not too long ago that there are 2 versions, unsure wether they have a different compression ratio or just a different shaped top.

yes it has those letters and arrows on them, all pointing the same way

sounds like it

 

check the engine code on the inlet

 

do a search on the web and gat the spec of both engines

 

i think the codes rgx and rgy

Must have been quite a while back, that one's still got the proper 206 doors on it hasn't it? Got wider and lower since then, looked a lot more aggressive.
