Rear Fog Lights - J Reg 205

Can anyone tell me what the rear "fog" light functions are.

 

I assume my 205 being a j plate is Phase 2 ???

 

Which one is the reverse light, i think its the one above the exhaust.

 

One is completely red - Is this the fog light on the drivers side

 

One is red with a white/clear kind of insert - Is this the reverse light on the passangers side.

 

Also, when you put the fogs on does both sides light up.

 

Am not sure cause I only drove the 205 home and took it apart - Should of checked how things worked first.

Reverse lights are always on the O/S ( Drivers side ) and the reverse light is the one on the N/S ,

You might think its a stupid question, but its only obvious if you know the answer.

 

Heres a pic, so is this the fog or reverse/ and what side is it for ???

Yes, that's the reverse light, and should be on the passenger side.

 

Sounds like there's a short in the wiring or someone's been messing with it, as both reverse and fog shouldn't come on together like yours is.

I think he was asking if they should both light up, not saying they do.

No, only one will come on also it will only come on when dip beam is on.

 

The clearish one is the reverse light and goes on the passanger side. The red one is the fog light and goes on the drivers side.
